Mont-Tremblant
Home to Mont-Tremblant park, the largest protected area in all  of Quebec, this corner of the Laurentians draws thousands of tourists  and sports enthusiasts annually to a small cluster of villages that have  earned a reputation for their excellent lodging, restaurants, sports,  and leisure activities. A visit to Mont Tremblant (968 m) and its  expansive park provides unforgettable adventures that will satisfy  amateur and experienced outdoor buffs alike. The ice age left its  imprint here in the form of magnificent Lac Monroe and natural  waterfalls such as the Chute du Diable (Devil's Falls) and Chutes  Croches (Crooked Falls). Here you can canoe and camp on the L'Assomption  River, hike with a nature interpreter, enjoy long-trail cross-country  skiing, snowshoeing, or fishing; or simply rent a cottage and take in  the untamed beauty of the land of the blue jay, moose, and black bear.
Mont-Tremblant-Village [C2] Founded at the turn of the 20th  century on the shores of Lac Mercier, Mont-Tremblant started life as a  logging town. By the 1920s, however, logging was replaced by tourism,  and the village and surrounding area was soon being courted by sports  enthusiasts from around the world. Today the village boasts cycling and  pedestrian trails, 92 all-level ski runs, crosscountry skiing, ice  skating, snowshoeing, snow-boarding, water sports on Lac Tremblant, plus  specialized shops, spas, and cozy inns.
Saint-Faustin [D3]
An elegant Laurentian resort town with a full range of  year-round activities, Saint-Faustin also offers its visitors a taste of  Quebecois joie de vivre, culture, and tradition. At Millette's  family-owned sugar shack, learn how maple sap is processed, and savor a  typical Quebecois meal and folk entertainment. You can also quench your  thirst at the village's natural spring-it's been flowing since 1871!
Saint-Jovite [D2-3]
Bordered by majestic mountains and close to several lakes,  Saint-Jovite has always been a popular travel destination. The  Mont-Tremblant/Saint-Jovite racing circuit attracts thousands of people  every year. Stroll along Rue Ouimet, the main thoroughfare, for its  fabulous restaurants and open-air terraces, and try a taste of beer  brewed the old-fashioned way at Saint-Arnould Microbrewery, a beer  museum displaying over 1,500 bottles and brewery collectibles.
Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts [E5] With its city center overlooking  sparkling Lac des Sables, Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts is a favorite vacation  spot, drawing tourists to its sandy beaches, charming boutiques and  trendy restaurants. When the railway was closed in 1989, the town  renovated the train station and transformed the railway into a stop on a  cycling and hiking trail unique to Quebec: "Le P'tit Train du Nord"  (Little Train of the North) Linear Park. Its 200 km of paths connect  Saint-Jerome to the south with Mont-Laurier to the north.
Val-David [E5] Val-David sits peacefully beside the Riviere du  Nord, cradled by the mountains and surrounded by woodlands. The town is  one of the most popular places for rock climbing in the country and is  home to a vibrant arts community that stages a pottery festival in  summer and exhibitions in September.
Val-Morin [E5] Val-Morin offers beautiful lakes, two alpine  ski centers, a public beach, and 5 km of paths in the Linear Park for  walking, biking, and cross-country skiing. In September, "Les Couleurs a  Velo" combines cycling with nature appreciation. In February, try your  hand at ice fishing at an annual fishing festival.
